We both came from families who often struggled to make ends meet. We learned the value of the dollar and had no problem wearing hand me down’s. My mother had a degree in music from what they called then, Milwaukee state teachers, college, and she played the piano and organ at two churches to make my sister Ginger and me look stunning on Easter.
